Key Responsibilities
The QHSE Manager at CycleØ is responsible for ensuring consistent quality, health & safety, and environmental standards across all construction and operational sites - both greenfield and brownfield. This role, based in Artea (Bizkaia), will work across strategic, tactical and hands-on activities, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
QHSE Strategy
- Designing frameworks and policies.
- Setting performance targets and KPIs.
- Lead by example and promote a H&S culture across all sites.
- Aligning QHSE with ESG, compliance, and corporate strategy.
- Coordinating site teams (internal and subcontractors) to ensure consistent practices across all our projects.
- Oversee operational procedures to mitigate risks and ensure safe plant construction and operations
- Continuously update and improve safety protocols for acquired (brownfield) and newly developed (greenfield) plants.
- Supervise plant legalisation processes and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting site and environmental inspections.
- Manage waste streams from construction and operational activities (e.g. activated carbon, chemicals).
- Supervise compliance with ADR procedures for hazardous materials (e.g. diesel, GNC).
- Responsible for incident management, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Liaise with external partners (e.g. Tesicnor) for specialised safety planning and site supervision.
- Managing documentation and compliance workflows, including but not limited to equipment and installation warranties and certifications, maintenance plans, training, subcontractor works, etc
- Act as the focal point for regulatory intelligence and ensure updates are reflected in operational procedures and practices.
- Centralise QHSE data and reporting for group-level visibility.
